“The future belongs to young people with an education and the imagination to create”

-          Barack Obama

With the Globalization, technology has created enormous changes in information and knowledge in the 21st century. Education is not isolated from these contemporary trends. Hence the focus of the second EduTeach2017 conference drives towards the emerging issues and challenges that Educators have to face when teaching or preparing for students’ future in the fast developing and rapidly changing world.

In the preset context, the class room has turned into global beyond the traditional one. The challenge that the Educators faced in this scenario is to educate and prepare the world’s future leaders who are competent with excellent skills required for their future with creative talents and human values. New technology can play a vital role to overcome the barriers and to achieve this goal.

Globalization is an active process that is transforming the world economic system. Knowledge and information take on increasing importance with the emergence of a new development model specially in the highly industrialized countries. Thus, the era of globalization has tremendous implications for knowledge, education and learning.

At the economic level, globalization is affecting employment and Schools will need to reconsider their mission in light of changing job markets; new skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing job demands and, for that matter, changing jobs over a lifetime; and dealing with an increasingly competitive international labor pool. The increasing commercialization of the school environment has become remarkably bold and explicit in this decade.

As Educators our ability to educate and prepare the world’s future leaders in politics, business, and education along with our determination to set positive examples for the value of democracy, civility, and human rights can shape the future of the world. However, there were many barriers to preparing students adequately for a global economy and society. The most significant barriers include limited resources, language barriers, and lack of mobility of students.

New technologies provide ways to overcome the traditional barriers to global education and language learning. The 21st century ushered in an era with the highest level of global interconnections in human history. Text, voice, and images are transferred with a click on a cellular phone or a computer. Students sign up for online classes that are taught by educators who are nowhere near where the students live.

EduTeach2017 will bring together educator and researchers and will provide a platform to present and discuss their thoughts, observations, opinions, and attitudes etc. before an international audience who have the same passion.
